Isokern Fireplace: Final Product by DJ Giles

You may have seen what the un-rocked version (the skeleton) of an Isokern Fireplace looks like from an earlier Project Blog on May 4, 2021. Well… on this project you can see what the final product looks like!

First we installed the Isokern (http://evanslumber.biz); then we rocked it and the entire sun room.

What an amazing space to enjoy with a cozy cup of coffee or what ever your cup of tea may be :)

Secret Garden... by DJ Giles

I love this Stone Archway topped off with Limestone Cap; it reminds me of entering into a Secret Garden! What an honor of adding such a unique detail to this Beautiful home!

Building an Isokern Fireplace for a Client by DJ Giles

This process takes roughly 2 days, compared to a week plus for a standard full masonry fireplace with chimney not using an Isokern.

We have been installing Isokern’s for almost 20 years in the Chattanooga area for Evans Lumber Company.

CORE FILLING FLUES:

You will need a Funnel for this step. As you can see, I am using a Checkers Cup which just happens to be the perfect size for the job :)
